A prominent member of Canada’s promotional products community is taking her talents to Top 40 supplier HPG (asi/61966).
Kate Plummer has been named director of sales for Ontario-based Debco and Minnesota-based Beacon Promotions – both subsidiaries of Massachusetts-headquartered HPG. Her journey with HPG officially begins Dec. 11.
“I’m so looking forward to joining HPG,” Plummer said. “I’ve admired their growth and creativeness for years. The Debco and Beacon teams have set such a high bar with their award-winning customer service and I’m looking forward to being part of their continuing success.”
Promo is in Plummer’s blood. Her parents founded Scarborough, ON-based supplier Clearmount (asi/45440), and Plummer has worked there for more than 16 years. Her most recent title was vice president of sales and marketing. Clearmount was acquired by St Regis Group (asi/84592) last year.
Beyond her Clearmount work, Plummer has been active as a volunteer within promo. She’s currently vice chair of the all-volunteer industry education nonprofit PromoKitchen and co-chair of Promotional Products Professionals of Canada’s (PPPC) annual Women’s Empowerment Event (WEE). She’s past chair of Promotional Products Association International’s Women’s Leadership Conference.
“I have known Kate for a long time and her outstanding reputation is thoroughly deserved,” said Trina Bicknell, HPG’s chief revenue officer. “I’m excited to have her join my stellar team of industry leaders in a new role designed to make it even easier to do business with HPG.”
Based on reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $268.8 million, HPG ranked eighth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry. Across its 11 brands, which include Beacon and Debco, HPG offers more than 15,000 SKUs. It produces and ships from nine facilities strategically located across North America.
